A fantastic example of a mint condition, all original, stainless steel Omega Seamster diving watch from the late 1960s. This reference, the 166.091, Seamaster was launched in 1969. This particular model dates from the first year of production, 1969, adding a level of desirability and collectibility. It features a quick-set date function with the date window in black. A great patina to the lume on the less common black dial, original matching hand set with center orange sweep. The dial itself is immaculate on this watch. There is a bi-directional rotating bezel for timing dives, which is in excellent condition. The watch is powered by the Omega automatic calibre 1001 copper-finished, 20-jewel chronometer grade movement also found in Constellation models of the time. It comes on an original, practically unworn, Omega 'Shark Mesh' bracelet, that is robust and comfortable to wear. This is a large size case both in width and height off the wrist to cope with the strains of reaching a dive of 200 meters. The case measures 41mm x 52mm x 11.
