Both Salt and Pepper mills are equipped with a 3D Cut system designed to really grind the salt and pepper not just crush it, maximizing its flavour and aroma. 

Common salt and pepper mills only crush the salt or pepper which severely limits the flavour release.

Each mill provides plenty of room to fill them with your favourite salt or pepper.

The grinding is done in three steps (3D Cut):
1^st: Grabs and cracks the salt and breaks it in half.
2^nd: Cuts it into smaller pieces.
3^rd: Sends it to the small teeth and grinds it fast and perfect.

How to fill your Salt and Pepper Mills

The handle for the mill is located inside the body of the pepper mill.

Unscrew the top bolt to find the handle. Refer to our video on how to assemble the pepper mill.

Grinding preferences: You can determine the coarseness you wish to produce by adjusting the screw at the bottom accordingly. For a finer grind, turn the screw clockwise and counter clockwise for a coarser grind. Grinds directly over food.

The Alexander salt mill has a strong plastic grinding mechanism and can be used to grind coarse salt. It is also not recommended to use grey, salt flakes, wet salt or large salt crystals as this will clog the mechanism.

Note: Prior to using your mill for the first time please pass a few pepper corns through then discard in order to clean the inner mechanism.

These Salt and Pepper mills naturally patina over time, adding desired character and that vintage look. Use a brass cleaner to make them shiny again.
