The Atocha Design Record Cabinet is the culmination of form and function: an elegant hand-crafted furniture piece that anchors the room while providing quick access to your music collection. This design features soft-closing drawers for LP records, with every record sorted upright and face-forward so you can easily flip through albums quickly while enjoying the album cover art. Albums are tucked out of site while being protected from damaging heat, sunlight and moisture.

Please contact us with your delivery information and to set up your deposit. We work on a traditional custom furniture model for payment. A 50% deposit is made at the time of order, and the other 50% + delivery fee is requested at least 10 business days before the shipping process begins.

Made to order in New York, custom sizes and configurations are available. Lead time approximately 6 weeks.

Atocha Design created the Record Cabinet for the lifetime vinyl enthusiast and collector. The beauty of the Record Cabinet is the access you finally have to your music collection. Every record is stored upright and face-forward in soft-close drawers, allowing you to flip through albums quickly and easily while looking at the album cover art, instead of the hard-to-read spines. Rediscover those forgotten albums that were hard to reach and hadn't been played in ages.

Careful consideration has gone into the engineering and construction of Atocha Design furniture to handle the heavy weight of an LP collection. The flexible design of the Record Cabinet means it can store more than just records - we offer models that can also hold CDs, 7-inch singles, DVDs and audio components. 

CAPACITY

The suggested capacity of the drawers is 95 LPs per drawer (multiply by number of drawers). While drawers can be packed tighter, we prefer leaving finger room for optimal "flipping" access and viewing cover art. The design allows you to organize albums based on your preferences, be it genre or alphabetical.

MATERIALS 

Atocha Design Record Cabinets & Open/Close Cabinets are made of solid American hardwood and hardwood veneer, with American-made solid brass drawer pulls. Atocha Design selects high-quality sustainable materials and hardware that are beautiful and durable, with a range of finishes available. The Atocha Design Record Cabinet collection uses materials made entirely in the USA, with the exception of Santos Palisander finish, which is sustainably-farmed and sourced from Bolivia. Drawer slides, drawer pulls and all wood is sourced or made in the USA. The solid brass drawer pulls are made from recycled brass in Connecticut, and the soft-close drawer slides installed under each drawer are made in North Carolina. The Atocha Design workshop, where all of our products are built, is located in Upstate New York. 

Our sustainable standard wood options include walnut, oak, cherry, maple and santos palisander and are selected for their beauty and durability.

Our hardwood veneer is thinly-sliced hardwood which allows us to have continual grain across the front, and waterfall the grain from the top down the sides. The backs are finished from the same material, allowing you to float the piece in a room. 

Atocha Design furniture is GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Compliant, made from sustainably harvested wood and are formaldehyde-and-lead-free.

To ensure absolute safety, we recommend that you open only one drawer at a time.

 
HARDWARE OPTIONS
Our solid-brass drawer pulls are custom-made in the U.S.A. Below are the solid brass hardware we keep in stock.

CARE

Weekly light dusting with a clean, dry duster (such as swiffer) is all that is needed to maintain your piece. If a more thorough cleaning is needed, a very slightly damp microfiber cloth can be used across the piece, followed by a dry cloth. A clear, matte, water-based finish is applied to the furniture before it ships making it essentially maintenance-free.
