The naja symbol was brought to Spain by the Moors, they adopted the crescent as a horse’s bridle ornament, to protect the horse and rider from "the evil eye". The Spanish then brought the idea to the Americas in the late 16th century and the Navajo adopted the protection design.

A lariat is a necklace without a clasp that is worn wrapped around the neck or with a loose knot tied behind the neck. A lariat can be worn long or as a choker with the ends hanging longer in the front. You can also move the Navajo pearls from the ends to the naja pendant for a different look. Or wear it layered with other necklaces, the options are endless!

The naja pendant is 2" long and 1.5" wide, on 50 inches of luxuriously soft leather.
