 oAs the waves wash over the beach, they leave behind fleeting patterns of sparkling water and bubbling foam. Sometimes some flotsam is left too. This painting is a memory of the clean white beaches of my childhood where the only things carried by the waves were shells and natural treasures for my grandmother and I to discover.

A deceptively simple pattern of warm grey and white where each shape is carefully placed to create a dancing scatter of light and dark. The subtle texture of my palette knife adds liveliness to the surface. This painting is perfect for light interiors of subtle greys and white.
