The ZH2 has a tendency to pull oil out of the crankcase with the oem crankcase breather setup. By keeping the oil level in the mid to low range on the site glass the problem can be minimized but not eliminated.

The oil that’s pulled out of the crankcase coats the inside of the air box, fills the catch bottle, accumulates in the air plenum, and goes through the combustion chamber which can cause reduced engine performance, detonation, reduced spark plug life, and reduced spark plug performance.

With a BAM Performance oil catch can kit the crankcase breather hose is removed from the airbox, the airbox is sealed up and the crankcase breather hose is routed through the catch can and vented out above the chain in the front sprocket cover. 

The catch can kit once installed is very discrete and has a nice oem appearance to it. It can be drained easily without removing the plastic. Also, you will be able to run your oil level at the full mark without any issues.

Each catch can kit will include all of the necessary components and hardware to complete the installation as well as very thorough installation instructions.

The picture of the air plenum below is from a customers bike.  The bike was stock and had 8k miles on it.  This is an example of much oil the air plenum can accumulate without a catch can kit.
