Limited Edition A Boro Panel: Pieced Kasuri Cottons See Details [muxTpj5t]

This length of indigo dyed cotton kasuri boro was taken from a futon cover; it is hand stitched from four separate pieces of of very attractive, hand woven cloth.

The pattern of the cotton is subtle: narrow stripes alternate with almost equally narrow flickers of white kasuri.  Affixed to the cloth are five mending patches: one is of the same cloth as the base, while the others are different stripes and plaids: the patch that juts off the surface of the boro length seems to be a cotton and silk blend.

All the colors and tones of the length are in close proximity to one another which gives a rich and sober tone to this boro cloth.
