All-in-one A Length Of Katazome Dyed Cotton: Peonies Collection [UYkxN9FH]

This is a length of indigo dyed katazome cotton that shows a fairly dynamic, large repeat of stylized peonies set against a dark background that is crowded with arabesques.

The peonies are elaborately rendered and like the arabesques they are highlighted with an ochre tone which adds richness to the overall design. The small, white dots that can be seen in the dark areas of the design created a shimmering light that enlivens the overall pattern.

In good, used condition this length is a joy to look at and something of a classic design where katazome cloth is concerned.
