DESCRIPTION:
Oval colored glass lamp, Manifattura Venini Italia. The oval metal base holds five bands of rings of different diameters on which a myriad (about 200 pieces) of mouth-blown glass pieces are mounted, in four different colors, gold, silver, purple, and dark green, in a square cylindrical shape. The lamp hangs from the ceiling on a golden brass frame. When it is on, the inside lights reflect through the glass a prism of color for a hypnotically ethereal effect. The lamp has eight lights.
