An Italian Alpine Cassetta frame is hand-carved and gilded with a painted panel. This framed mirror is available in clear with bevel or antiqued and is made in America by a 4th generation Italian Master Framer.
Derived from the Italian Renaissance, the Cassetta (“small box”), or entablature, became the dominant style frame in the Italian peninsula. The base is red clay with 12kt white gold leaf and dragon blood shellac wash. The panel is navy paint.
