These tea caddies are made of Dehua White Porcelain, also known as Blanc de Chine. The porcelain was shaped using a mould. The piece is then hand finished and hand painted. The lid is made of African Walnut.
The mould for this was designed by Chen Feng-Ji, the same artist who makes our porcelain Fat Cat and Lazy Polar Bear Tea Pets. Mr. Chen is a young porcelain artist who has already won a number of awards for his work. The artist has a studio in Dehua China.
