Paloma Picasso is the youngest daughter of the famed artist Pablo Picasso. She began her career in accessory design in the late 60s where she designed costume jewelry for a Paris theatre production.  In 1968 she showed her designs to the late Yves Saint Laurent, who than commissioned her to design a collection for him. Paloma is mostly know for her work with Tiffany & Co which began in the late 70s.  In the 80s Paloma created her first signature piece the scribble design that was inspired by graffiti.  Another signature of the designer is the X. She studied in England as a child and was charmed by the way the English signed there letters at the end with the letter X, to signify kisses. Most people date the iconic pieces back to the 70-80s, but it was fall 1991 when she launched her accessories collection, that included jewelry, handbags, and scarves.
