This set of short exercises is transposed into all Major Keys of the circle of fifths. it may help to internalize and to consolidate playing keys which are less common. Especially brass players have problems managing sharp keys. However, keys such as Gb Major or cb minor are not commonly used and lead to uncertainty in performance practice. The present book has no markings for dynamics, articulation, and phrasing because the main focus is on coping with the music as regards to keys as well as on supporting individual ideas on musical execution.
