Third Reich Sr. Forestry Officials Cutlass by Clemens & Jung***STILL AVAILABLE***-Spectacular Third Reich example with Ivory handle. This is only the second example of a Third Reich forestry cutlass with the German adler located on the ferrule on the crossguard. Please take the time to examine this carefully as this is something that is missing from the majority of edged weapon collections. The detailing throughout is spectacular including a very ornate lower obverse scabbard fitting. The clamshell has the hunting dog motif. This and the cutlass scabbard lug have a heavily engraved pheasant. The scabbard is also unique as it is a steel body with 80% of the original black enamel paint still intact. The engraved blade rates very good as the engraving which is very distinctive is very light and there are a few dark spots. The original thick leather buffer is still in place under the crossguard. This is complete with its original special brown leather frog. You will be hard pressed to find another example!
