Viral Complete Japanese Wwii Field Phone Up To 50% Off [GL6aNdvE]-This Type 92 was the standard issue Japanese field telephone during the war. These phones come in their own wooden box. The inside lid of the phone case has full instructions for use. This telephone is complete with its handset and the often-missing crank handle. The top earpiece is in place along with the clip that would attach to your tunic or belt to keep it close at hand. The crank, with its bakelite handle, is in very good condition. The wood and metal case is also very good, showing only normal age and wear. There is a data plate on the front cover with the maker name of Social Electric Company of Kyoto (in Kanji) , and the date of manufacture. There is also a serial number listed. The lid locks in position properly, and the front portion of the body will unlock and pivot forward, revealing the internals for maintenance and battery replacement. There is also the inline fuse module, which is used in some configurations. The back has a push button, not sure if this is the power button or not. This phone measures approx. 10 inches (26cm) long, 5 inches (13cm) wide, and 6 ½ inches (17cm) high. This is one of the nicer Japanese field phones we have seen in a long time.
