On a clear morning in Fort Greene Park, I let go of my usual habit of focusing on a single tree or flower. Instead, I tried to see—and draw—the landscape as it really was: a tangle of trees and bushes, large trunks and delicate branches, careful plantings, and unruly growth. Nature and cultivation in quiet tension.

Brush, ink, and watercolor move quickly here, mirroring the complexity of the moment. The drawing doesn’t simplify; it embraces disorder. It's about being comfortable with not making sense of everything—letting the park feel wilder than it really is.
