Problem Solver Somatic Art Session New Style [EDfyUsgn]

For over twenty years, I've been actively immersed in the languages of the body and the creative spark. My art practice has guided me to an intimate dialog with my body, discovering ways to access my body's voice through listening and artistic expression. 

The language of the Soma is vast in memory. Our bodies are intimately connected with the earth, with our lineage, and with the events which have both shocked and nurtured them, and everything in between. When we sit with our bodies in the gentle presence of witnessing, we are able to find emergent truths as they surface in their willingness to be seen. Then, to bring our discoveries to the page and illustrate with an intuitive art expression, we have a visible record of our discoveries to support ourselves with.

I will weave in my twenty years as a Holistic Health Practitioner, ten years as an art educator, a lifetime of art experience, mentorships in Anusara Yoga and Plant Spirit Medicine, doula training, and my continuing studies of Somatic Experiencing (currently Beginning III level) into a fully intuitive, dynamic, personalized session with you.

Our session will be an organic blend of settling and centering exercises, somatic awareness and guidance, dialog, silence, movement, and artistic expression of what is found. You are welcome to bring any intentions of things you would like to work with.

I find that connecting regularly to my body and my creative practice is an invaluable resource to my health and wellbeing. My somatic and creative practices are beacons and anchors that I can return to whenever I need to connect back to my truth and my inner voice. Art can be a vessel for expressing things that may not be accessible via words. It is a symbolic voice that the body can use to reveal insights into core truths, chronic issues, and healing potentials.

Inevitably, our session together will bring alive some tools for you to work with in your own life. I will send a follow up letter via email to detail the important points of support that emerge from our session, both for the body and for creative expression. 

Within 24 hours of your booking, I will reach out so that we can schedule a time for your session. I will send you a waiver to fill out, as well as more details about how to prepare for our time together. I look forward to being with you.

Your Session Includes:

60 minutes total one-on-one time with Melissa, live via Zoom

A follow-up email letter detailing the points that we covered and highlighting practices that you can implement in the weeks after our time together.

**All you need are some simple art supplies, preferably watercolors, a brush, water and watercolor paper. That being said, any art supplies that you have are fine, even a pencil and paper.**
