A stunning antique Victorian serpent brooch crafted in 14K Yellow Gold with a central sapphire set on its head and 2 rose-cut diamonds set in its eyes.
The snake is very detailed with circular patterns running along its spine and etched scales on the sides of the body. Its body is curled into a knot and is lying on top of a curb-link bar brooch with a forked tongue peeking out of its mouth.

The brooch closure features a c-clasp and has a protective bar to prevent pricking getting your finger pricked by the pin.

Throughout history, snake motifs have been used to symbolize eternal love, rebirth and new beginnings. Queen Victoria rekindled the desire of the snake motif when Prince Albert presented her with a serpent engagement ring with emerald eyes which was her birthstone.
