Inspiration:
Part of a five-painting series based on a vivid, recurring dreamscape, Revolutionary Crystalline Realm No. 01 Holiday Cheer Edition [ku2fOomN] was painted simultaneously with Crystalline Realm No. 02. The two panels form a diptych but are fully resolved as individual works.

In this piece, the artist continues to explore layered applications of stain and acrylic over wood, allowing the natural grain to influence the jagged forms of mountains, trees, and towers. Deep reds punctuate the cooler jewel-toned palette of blue and green, capturing the surreal atmosphere of the imagined terrain. Together or alone, the works reflect a landscape shaped by dream, memory, and the physical properties of the materials themselves.
