An Art Deco era onyx intaglio signet ring with a soft hammered finish by American makers Bailey, Banks, and Biddle. The intaglio appears to be a carving of a shield with a dragon and tower with some words, possibly a motto, written below. We have not been able to decipher the phrase. The inside of the ring is stamped “BB&B 14K” for the maker’s mark and gold purity and engraved “VGH ‘24”, most likely a monogram and the year.
