There's very good reason that you keep seeing Northfield mandolins in the hands of more and more elite mandolin players, and this instrument epitomizes just that. This one features an Engelmann top that imparts a bit more warmth to the tone than the Adirondack, which is standard to this model.

Beautiful, rich tone with incredible responsiveness and volume to even just the lightest of touch. Perfectly balanced across the tonal spectrum and up and down the fretboard. The set up is wonderful and the mandolin plays almost effortlessly in all positions.
