Creating designs inspired by her childhood spent in Japan, Mizuki Tsurutaka apprenticed with an expert fine jeweler in Los Angeles before establishing her own line there under the name of Black Barc. Her personal heritage is reflected in her use of the traditional Japanese techniques of mokumegane and kiribame. The results are timeless, beautiful pieces in 14k and 18k gold and sterling silver that display their hand-crafted qualities through slightly softened profiles and an organic appeal.
The Ren Ring is inspired by the clasp on gamaguchi, or Japanese coin purses. This version is enhanced with the sparkle of two white diamonds.
