All pieces have been photographed with moderate to bright natural light. Some items may not be perfectly straight or rectangle. We consider these characteristics part of what makes them truly one-of-a-kind and handmade. 

Each rug listed on our site is either a wool pile on a cotton foundation or a wool pile on a wool foundation. Quality, unrefined wool contains a substance called lanolin. Lanolin tends to have a natural smell, which many compare to the smell of sheep – or almost metallic-y, but sweet and grassy.
