Spooktacular American-made pressed paper pulp cat from the 1930s/1940s! This cat is significantly harder to find than many of the other cats, including even the "ribbed" kitties that appear less frequently than the more common "Cat on Fence" or standard paper mache cat heads. Referred to as the Siamese cat, this magnificent cat is sure to be a conversation starter and even has it's original 19 cents stamp on the bottom! Vintage condition with typical pulp wear (may include blemishes, candle wax, scuffs, paint loss, rips/tears, etc.), but overall very sturdy considering age and an exceptional display piece! Approximately 5" tall. This cat has a tear near the handle section on the left side (when facing the lantern), and a piece of tape that is adhered to the bottom of the cat with the name "Jeffery" written on it. We considered attempting to remove the tape, but thought better of it as it's part of this magnificent pieces history; you can envision a child in the 1930s or 1940s writing their name on the bottom after being instructed to do so by their mother, prior to going trick-or-treating setting it up on a table.
