Lei Kou Chai - means thunder struck wood. The mother tree was struck by lightning on the main trunk, but it survived and shriving. This varietal is Zhi Lan Xiang - orchid fragrance, one of the 10 most popular aroma types in the Dan Cong oolong world. It's one of our favorite floral aroma Dan Cong oolongs since day one in our 17 years old tea business.
Recommended water for this tea: very good quality filtered water, ie reverse osmosis filtered water. Spring water suppresses the fragrance quite a bit. Tap water is prohibited!
