Unique Antique Majolica Plate With Drippy Dog - Free 2-day Shipping [E4jJObMr]

I'm not attracted to this sort of majolica as a rule, but I sure love this plate. Specifically, I love this dog, which but for the glazing one might take for a lamb, and what could be better than a lamb-like dog!? And in this case the drippy, painterly green and brown animating the border seem just right, coloring what look to me like cabbages to nibble on. And with some drippy yellow too, as if our dog has marked its territory!  With the fairly faint outlines (impressed) of a doghouse or barn visible on the brown ground just behind the dog. 

11 1/8" x 10 5/8" x 1 7/16" and in excellent condition. C. 1880s I believe.
