How to resist this pair? For me it's a lot about their silhouettes, with those very very thin front legs, cut I'd guess by someone not yet too expert with the jigsaw! Very sincere all the way through, down the somewhat wavering carved lines outlining ears and collars. And yet something about the combination of the matte brown of the dogs and the mossy green of the grass lends them a certain elegance. How nice to have these at either end of the shelf, propping up the animal books!
