Collector's Item Longans Excellent, Super Scarce C. 1920s Cardboard Forms For Learning Parliamentary Procedure Gift Boxed [EJYSG7H1]
I think these are so cool--and seems quite a good time for revisiting parliamentary procedure! (Parliamentary procedure, or Robert's Rules, are rules and guidelines used for governing official meetings and decision-making processes in organizations, assemblies, and legislative bodies.) These cardboard forms (with a smooth finish to the printed surfaces and a nice weight to them) were produced by Longan & Longan, Kansas City--which seems to have been chiefly the effort of Emma Lard Longan (b.1854) an expert on parliamentary procedure and author of several books on it. Seems from the original envelop here that these tabletop forms were facsimiles of three dimensional blocks--wish I had those!--but can find no visual record of them, or of these either. I'd be inclined to keep these close at hand, to hold up as needed in everyday conversation ("question of privilege!" "rescind/reconsider"! "amend amend amend!") but also, certainly, useful at any meeting:) And just very excellent looking and fun to arrange.
Envelope measures 6" x 3 1/2". All in very good condition. All pictured included.
