 This is an American antique quilt made circa 1930s. It is a traditional Philadelphia Pavement Quilt Pattern. This piece is beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn by Lydia N. Rutt. We know this because she signed her work. We have preserved this provenance on the inside of the shawl collar. Please see photos. This is a Lancaster County Mennonite quilt. These pieces are highly coveted and collectible. In our opinion, this quilt is very thin, very lightweight, and has a buttery and flattering drape. We love the contrasting floral fabric on the inside of the jacket. This makes the jacket completely reversible and offers the option for upside down and inside out wear.
