HERMAN AND THE FIDDLER: The Mystery of the Three-Eyed Ape is the 10th book in the Seckatary Hawkins Series by Robert Franc Schulkers. It follows Herman, a talented German violinist, as he joins the Fair and Square Club. The mystery unfolds as Herman's father, a US Secret Service agent, investigates the Bolsheviks and the dangerous weapon developed by Dr. Boulet with the help of his servant Norski and a three-eyed ape from the circus.
A first edition copy of the book self published by the author (Robert F. Schulkers Publisher) in 1930. The book's condition is satisfactory, with minor fraying at the tail from normal shelf wear and a slightly loose inner hinge or joint that may require gluing. The original owner's name and a gift inscription from their mother are present, along with some pencil drawings by a child on the inside back cover and end paper. The orange cloth cover has a few minor areas with surface scuffing/gouging, staining and discoloration, and there is no dust jacket.
