Price Drop Alert Huge Auriculatus Fossil Shark Tooth 2.78 Inches! Megalodon Ancestor! Not Repaired! Highly Recommended [wyN5UnXJ]

This is a beautiful Huge fossil Auriculatus shark tooth from the Eocene of South Carolina! Auriculatus (Carcharocles auriculatus) was a giant species of prehistoric shark widely believed to be a direct ancestor to the infamous Megalodon. It lived approximately 45 to 34 million years ago during the Eocene Epoch and could grow to over 30 feet (9 meters) in length! It fed primarily on large fish, smaller sharks and marine mammals. It' teeth are well known for being large, triangular and serrated like its descendant megalodon but with cusps remaining from its earlier ancestors. Over the next few million years the shark would evolve to be even larger meanwhile its teeth would grow larger, more robust, and eventually lose their cusps completely resulting in Megalodon. A great addition to any fossil collection or gift for aspiring paleontologists, the tooth measures 2.78 inches (7.06 cm) along its longest edge, which is Huge for this species, with great serrations and no repair, restoration, or alteration!

A fantastic piece from one of the largest and most terrifying predators to ever live!
