This stunning handcrafted rug is made entirely from plastic bottles, this flatwoven rug is extremely hard wearing and a great option for a home with pets. With the look and feel of soft natural fibers. (does not feel like plastic, feels more like a wool/jute mix) . This rug is water, moth and mould resistant. Its easy to clean and have great environmentally friendly credentials.

Fun Fact : A typical 5*8 rug contains about 460-500 recycled plastic bottles.


Cleaning and care

Before washing, vacuum loose debris from your rug or give it a good shake outside. Either Hand Wash with a light detergent or pop smaller rugs into the washing machine on a 30-40 degree cycle using a non biological washing detergent.
For Larger Rugs, we recommend using a commercial sized drum at your local laundromat under the same temp and setting.

Alternatively, take a larger rugs outside to handwash and hose down. This Rug emerges from the washing machine virtually dry, so simply hand on the line to fully air dry. DO NOT DRY CLEAN OR TUMBLE DRY.


Microfibers

while the majority of our products are fully machine washable, we urge you to only do so when they really need it. This small step will significantly reduce the impact of microfiber shedding and prolong the life of your rug.
