The Mercedes SLC is a luxury coupe produced by the Stuttgart house between 1971 and the early 1980s. It was developed on the basis of the roadster and was characterized by harmonious and elegant lines. The 450 SLC was equipped with a 4520 cm3 V8 engine capable of delivering 225 hp. The good performance was combined with the refined aesthetic research of the interiors made with “premium” materials in line with the positioning that the SLC had to have on the market. Starting from the project destined for the series, which achieved good commercial success, dedicated versions for rally racing were also made with roll-bars, thicker rims and lighter bodywork to optimize the weight / power ratio and guarantee the best performance.
