The ecosystem of an efficiently run roastery is like a well-oiled machine, especially that final stretch your beautifully roasted beans travel from the roaster to your retail packaging. The key components? A solid silo and conveyance system that serves as a safe haven for those beans (or grounds)—an absolute essential for preserving flavor and quality. That's exactly what you get with this integrated system from Italian-based Scolari Engineering, including four degassing silos, a conveyor, two feeder/packaging silos, and a master control panel.

From your roaster right into your industrial grinder, then conveyed up and over - your grounds will land in one of the four degassing silos, a temporary sanctuary for your beans to release the final bits of carbon dioxide accumulated during roasting. Each of these silos can hold up to 1,750 lbs (almost 800 kg) of coffee. After all, it's about surface area to get the degassing process through.

From there, your coffee product will travel via the conveyor below the degassing silos to the two packaging silos that feed into your packaging equipment. You manage the entire end-to-end flow from a well-appointed master control panel. (See photos.)

This Scolari system was purchased new and installed in 2004. It has handled, on average, 7,000 lbs (approx. 3200 kg) of coffee product per month—a fairly low production volume. The seller, now downsizing to a smaller space, performed regular daily, monthly, and yearly service to keep this equipment in tip-top shape.

Last used on 6/1/24, this impeccably maintained system is ready to go to work in your shop. Currently fully commissioned, ready for take down. CEPros has rigging company cue'd up, ready to handle the business.
