Impressive grand round marble top center table made on a monumental scale in the neoclassical Gustavian taste. The Swedish table features a massive 1.5 inch thick slab of Carrara marble resting on a carved wood base. The round frieze is supported by gracefully scrolled cabriole legs decorated with acanthus leaves and rosettes in the neoclassical style. The legs are mounted to a thick wood shelf ending with round ball feet. The wood has a lovely aged, distressed patina on the finish with blue grey paint remnants.
