This one-of-a-kind Mabe Cortez Pearl® measures approximately 14x11.8mm and comes from the Pteria sterna oyster, native to Mexico’s Sea of Cortez. 

From the vibrant hues of peacock feathers to the deep tones of blacks, bronzes, greens, blues, pink-reds, whites, and silvers, it’s no surprise why the oysters this pearl came from are nicknamed the ‘rainbow-lipped oyster.’ When grading, color is evaluated by identifying the primary, secondary and tertiary colors because often times there will be multiple colors visible at a time.
