Wonderful vintage Hawaiian puka shell necklace. The necklace has large natural puka shells that are graduated in size from 11 mm in diameter to 15 mm in diameter. (Measured with caliper) These shells have natural holes, great wear from the ocean and sand and are bleached white by the sun. Surface has a high polish.
The smaller spacer shells that have brown spots. They were hand drilled and chipped. Not the highest quality shell beads, but they look great.
Necklace is 28" long. Weight: 105 grams. Fine, collectible and valuable necklace.
