DESCRIPTION: Beetle plastic vacuum tube radio manufactured by General Electric in late thirties timeframe. This particular model was a Canadian version of H600.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original beetle molded plastic cabinet. All original factory molded colors. Not repainted no touch up no over spray. None needed. There are hairline cracks on front top, left top corner, right front side and right side bottom edge. No cracks on right or left sides, top middle or back, or bottom. No cracks on back cover. No other cracks, chips, splits, abrasions, or major cracks. Beetle plastic is one of the rarest early forms of plastic. It is a more brittle and dense material. It is not unusual to find surviving examples that have hairline cracks as result of temperature fluctuations over time.  The root cause of these hairline cracks is temperature variation over time, not mishandling. More expensive and rarer than Bakelite. The swirly colors are uniquely recognizable characteristic of Beetle. Has colors of tan, brown, red, and yellow highlights swirled in with the white. The front clear tuning window is original, securely attached, but warped, with no cracks, scratches. Yellowed with age. Rare and desireable original matching back cover is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches.
