DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube radio manufactured by Philco in the 1950s timeframe still in excellent+ working condition. The cabinet has been refinish in factory original paint color. The paint finish is nearly flawless and almost perfect color match. No chips or abrasions, or missing material anywhere on the cabinet! The front grill is intact no blemishes. All knobs, dial pointer, etc are present, working, not missing. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without external antenna attachment. Excellent art deco design! Bakelite cabinet is flawless mirror-like piano deep glossy condition. With dial light! The knobs are matching clear of hazing or yellowing with gold disc inserts securely attached. This radio is over 65 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. No missing numbering. Some material is missing along the dial at 120 MHZ. No smudges or yellowing. The tuning and volume dials work fine. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The original power cord and plug is in good working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment. This thing belongs in a museum!
