H L Becker Fils & Co Bruxelles Balance Beam Scale in Glass Cabinet with weights. Henry Louis Becker was the son of balance maker Christopher Becker and Louisa Manus, daughter of an apothecary family. He was born in the Netherlands in 1848. He designed this pharmaceutical scale prior to 1930. The label indicates it comes from Brussels, Belgium. It is in good working condition with 12 original weights. The scale trays are slightly discolored in spots. The removable glass door opens and closes easily.
