Universal The South Africa Mandela Necklace Equipment [SJZzIcpU] is handcrafted based on an authentic South African coin with precious metals using the traditional lost-wax casting technique. The design features a bust of Nelson Mandela on one side, and a charging wildebeest on the other. The wildebeest in an ancient animal whose fossils have been found in caves in the region known as the 'Cradle of Civilization' north of Johannesburg. Nelson Mandela was an anti-apartheid revolutionary, political leader, philanthropist, and the first post-apartheid President of South Africa. He is held in deep respect in South Africa, where he is often referred to by his Xhosa clan name, Madiba and is described as the "Father of the Nation".
