This mandolin series is consistently one of the very best, if not THE very best, of the new mandolins we’ve ever played!  This one is the cream of the crop with a premium Adirondack Spruce top and exquisitely  flamed bookmatched Red Maple back!  The finish is left more of a natural to highlight the beauty of these exhibition grade woods.  In addition to how great it looks, it sounds and plays even better!

The Northfield “Big Mon” mandolin is at first glance just a gorgeous example of a traditional F-Style mandolin.  But a closer look uncovers extra refinement and quality, and a tape measure will even reveal that this mandolin has a slightly larger body which results in volume, tone, and richness galore!  It rattles your skull when you play it!

All materials are from North America, seasoned and matched in Northfield’s Marshall, MI. Assembled and varnished in the Qingdao shop, then set up and final inspection in Marshall, MI.
