This Used 2004 Gibson Custom Tom Murphy Aged Historic Reissue 1959 Les Paul Standard in Vintage Burst is here on consignment. The neck is straight, and the truss rod functions properly. The guitar was refretted at some point, and the job was done very well. The guitar plays fantastically, and the current frets are in good shape, with a crown still on them. It has a set of Gotoh Aged Tuners on it, and the original tuners are included as well. It has a set of Tim White Humbuckers installed with some replacement pots that we can't fully identify. The original pickups and pots are also included. The original pickup rings were replaced after one of them broke, though originals are included (one broken, one intact). It has a metal jack plate on it as well, not the original plastic one. 

This is a special guitar as it was hand-aged by Tom Murphy himself, as confirmed by the 2 (duplicate) certificates we have to accompany it. Made in 2004, this guitar came out well before the Murphy Lab iterations that are currently available. Tom Murphy actually executed the aging whereas these days, it's his crew of Aging Artistans. 

Despite having been played a fair amount, this guitar was very well cared for. We aren't sure who did the refret, though it was well done. Of course, the fret nibs are no longer present. The Chunky 59 neck plays fast and easy, and it has a very nice looking Rosewood Fingerboard.
