- Bezel: Stainless steel with original black aluminum time-lapse insert.
- Luminous dot at 12 o'clock on insert is missing.
- Movement: Rolex Swiss-made automatic 17 jewel, caliber 1030 mechanical
- Movement is signed: Rolex Perpetual Patented, Montres Rolex SA, Geneva, Swiss, 17 jewels, unadjusted and caliber 1030.
- Dial: Original black gilt with very rare RED 100/330 depth rating and gold Mercedes style hands.

- The Rolex 6536-1 was first released in 1955. It features the very first depth rating used by Rolex, 100/330 printed in red. This style of printing is known to exist on a very small series of this reference only. On all later models, the more common 100m=330ft was printed in white.
