For your supreme viewing and listening delight is this wonderful and rare vintage 20" K Zildjian Istanbul ride cymbal. This beauty bears the Old Stamp IVb stamp that was only produced in 1959. Like most old Ks, this is slightly under-sized at 19-1/2". The old world hammering and exquisite lathing is a thing of true beauty and craftsmanship. This beauty is extremely responsive and maintains an authoritative woody stick definition with a nuanced warmth that's instantly recognizable as the mark of a truly gifted cymbalsmith. The hand formed bell is complex and musical, and is everything one could want from a vintage 20" K bell. Cosmetically, the cymbal is in excellent condition with no cracks, bends, warping, or keyhole. There are two miniscule rough spots on the edge that we hesitate to even call flea bites as they can be felt more than seen and were difficult to get a good photograph of. We were able to get a photo of the very rarely seen factory ink stamp on the bottom of the cymbal that reads "K ZILDJIAN & CO ISTANBUL THE ORIGINAL AND ONLY AUTHENTIC TURKISH CYMBAL". Very rarely does an Old Stamp K in this condition surface, so seize the day. This is a beautiful sounding cymbal that would be at home amongst the finest of collections. Enjoy!
