Mr. Lee learned his trade from the master shoemaker who once crafted shoes for Madame Chiang Kai-shek, and to this day, he continues the work from his small workshop in Tainan. He’s never sought to scale, never rushed to grow—only to refine. With soft satin, a durable rubber sole, and a silhouette that nods to performance and elegance, these shoes remind me that doing one thing exceptionally well is its own kind of art.
