About the Language
Italian is often considered the world's most beautiful spoken language, and is part of a cultural heritage including art, architecture, food, literature, and music. It is a Romanic language, one of a group of languages descended from Latin. Modern Spoken Italian originated as a college curriculum for students learning Italian. Unable to find course materials that emphasized competence in natural communication, the author decided to develop her own. This audio/text course offers an independent study approach to active Italian communication.
