K-Sabatier is located in Theirs, France producing traditional style knives to the region for 8 generations now. These blades are forged from a single piece of XC75 high carbon steel tempered to 54-56 hrc. These have good toughness and are very easy to sharpen. The carbon steel holds a great toothy edge and we prefer to finish around 2k grit for best results. This blade is full carbon steel and will gain a patina over the course of its life. It should be always be kept as dry as possible while in use to avoid rust. The handle is made from sturdy and easy to care for POM material with 3 rivets.

Note- These blades may have small finish imperfections as part of the making process. They do not come in a presentation box but you will be provided with a complimentary sleeve with the knife to protect the edge.
