Sakai Takayuki Coreless Damascus is made from blending VG10 with VG1stainless steels to create and beautiful and functional solid damascus blade. These are ground very thin for a super smooth cutting feel that will excel for most vegetable preparation. These have a tall heel height for their length to mimic the function of a cleaver knife, but still have the versatility of a santoku or bunka. The edge profile is not super flat but had a gentle curve to it. The handle is made from one piece wenge wood in the octagonal shape.
