The Labconco Paramount Ductless Enclosure offers a convenient and self-contained workstation that ensures a safer and cleaner laboratory environment. Unlike traditional fume hoods, this enclosure uses carbon filters to effectively eliminate unsafe concentrations of organic solvents, formaldehyde, acid gases, ammonia, or radioisotopes. Its ductless design allows for easy mobility, making it versatile enough to be relocated between laboratories without requiring ductwork.

This enclosure is designed for superior filtration capabilities, accommodating both carbon filters and 99.99% efficient HEPA filters. This dual functionality provides effective removal of gaseous and particulate contaminants, ensuring optimal protection and maintaining a high standard of air quality.

Labconco Paramount 6963601 – Features

Labconco Paramount enclosures provide exceptional containment and operator protection through advanced airflow management and ergonomic design. The slotted rear baffle ensures horizontal laminar airflow, efficiently drawing vapors and fumes to the back without causing turbulence or compromising containment.

To further enhance airflow control, the system incorporates a clean-sweep airfoil, side-entry airfoils, and an upper containment sash foil. Additionally, the upper dilution air supply provides optimal ventilation, creating a safe and reliable work environment.

These enclosures feature advanced electronic commutated motor (ECM) technology, reducing energy consumption and operating noise for an energy-efficient and ergonomic workspace. The organic chemical vapor sensor detects any chemical breakthrough in the filter, ensuring consistent operator safety.

Additional features include a digital display for airflow and filter status, touchpad controls, an ergonomic angled sash, and tempered safety glass for durability. The epoxy-coated aluminum frame and steel rear baffle add robustness, while the fixed-height stand adjusts from 28.5” to 35.5” in 1” increments for customizable comfort.

Testing

This Labconco Paramount Hood is used and reconditioned.  Our technicians inspect all fume hoods to make sure that the baffles are present and intact, the interior lights are functioning, and that the sash is intact and runs smoothly on the tracks along with the counterweights.
